Three Kingdoms and a Tuk Tuk

Three Kingdoms and a Tuk Tuk

This summer Lyn and I are not camping across the country. (Shocker I know!) We have decided to travel to Southeast Asia. We will be traveling for the entire month of July. Luckily my daughter Rheagan has agreed to keep Jasper for the entire month so we know he will be in good hands while we are gone. The first two weeks we will be traveling with my sister Julie. The plan is to fly out of Greensboro on June 29th heading for Bangkok, Thailand. We will then visit multiple places in Thailand and a few places in Cambodia as well. Then Julie will head home on July 14th. Lyn and I will then travel to Singapore and then on to the Philippines for the last two weeks of July. We plan on visiting multiple places in the Philippines and of course getting to spend time in one of my favorite places Solano Nueva Vizcaya with Lyn’s family. We will be visiting multiple countries and at least three Kingdoms! We have all of our 18 flights booked and have booked over a dozen rooms to call home sweet home along the way. We are staying in hotels, airbnb’s and with family. We will be traveling in planes, tuk tuk’s, boats, busses, scooters, metros, trains, tricycles, and hopefully a few Jeepneys.  With all of our research we have learned just enough to be dangerous so follow along if you care to. It should be interesting to say the least. (Ha Ha what could go wrong right?!?!?) I will have to admit I am more than a little excited to see how this trip turns out. We will be in full adventure mode for sure. (See our itinerary below.)

    1. I have a feeling that there will be times on this trip that you will be glad you are experiencing it from the comfort of your own home. 🙂

  1. I loved Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. I hope you are planning to visit the white temple. If you have time to visit a beach Pattaya is less than three hours from Bangkok.
I look forward to your blog. Safe travels.

    1. We are going to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai and yes the white temple is on the agenda! Loved seeing the pictures you posted. We are going to be staying two days in Koh Lanta to get our beach fix so Pattaya will have too wait. I always love a good reason to go back! 🙂

    1. Ha Ha I am in your camp! Whenever I saw cobras on TV when I was little I made a vow not to go to countries that they lived in. Now I find myself going to four countries this summer and all four of them have the possibility of running into one in the wild! Yikes!
